I used it to scare the barking dogs next door. It is very loud. It stops dogs from barking. The first blast startled them and they look around kind of dazed. After the second blast they ran around to the other side of the yard. I like this horn and its light and easy to use. It has some kind of liquid inside similiar to a butane lighter. I dont know how long it lasts but miy can still has liquid in it. The can gets cold after a couple blasts. I would recommend this horn to someone that wants something very loud. Don't get it near your ear or get in front of it because I think it would break your eardrum. I use earplugs when blasting mine.
